"Why?" You may ask, "Why blog? Why write words for all to see, all to read and ponder, admire or judge?"
And the simple answer is, I have too. Something resides within me that asks to speak. Something that desires to share about the times that we encounter, the journeys we walk, the friendships we share and those small moments of beauty that can make an ugly day... wonderful.
I have several friends that run blogs, some are to share their thoughts, some to share their lives, some to share hopes and dreams and some to share frustrations, anger and hurt.
But what is this blog going to be about? It's going to be about stories; narratives that can bring us closer, others together. It's not just going to be my story of the world, but the stories that we all share, the stories that seem to be told again and again, the stories of friends and life.
Sometimes there will simply be pictures, sometimes fantastical descriptions of worlds yet to be known, sometimes simple stories that delight hearts and other times stories about how, when life slows down, the world that we encounter becomes a rich and lavish swirl for our senses... if only we take the time to notice them.
So I thank you, I thank you for coming along with me and sharing stories that, together, will bring us to places that we have not yet known.
